A Thistle Conservatory is the perfect bridge between indoor and outdoor living – get the al-fresco feeling, whatever the weather.
Invite more natural light into your life and make the most of the sun’s warming glow while adding an attractive and valuable feature to your home.
A well-planned Conservatory can act as a bridge between your home and garden, maximising the feeling of space you experience inside, while introducing an attractive yet practical feature to the grounds of your home.
Conservatory StylesFrom traditional to modern, the choice is yours
Whether you are looking for a Conservatory that is contemporary or traditional, complex or with clean lines, we can provide you with a Conservatory design that suits your own unique requirements.
Featuring the market leading Ultraframe Conservatory Roofing System in combination with our high quality uPVC Windows and Doors, every Thistle Conservatory is a fusion of style, quality and energy efficiency.
Thistle Conservatories come in a wide variety of styles to suit every taste – from traditional Victorian, Georgian and Edwardian designs to the more contemporary Lean-To configuration. You can even combine different styles to create T-Shape, B-Shape or T-Shape Conservatories.
Whatever your requirements, the end result will be a bespoke Conservatory – designed just for you.
Lean To Conservatories
A simple, modern and very popular design, a Lean To Conservatory design incorporates a single sloped roof running along the length of an external house wall.
A Victorian Style Conservatory comes with a ridged roof and a three or five faceted end wall creating a half rounded feature. The Victorian design normally features three or five facets on the front elevation with ornate detailing along the ridge of the apexed roof.
Also sometimes called a Georgian Conservatory, the classic rectangular design of an Edwardian Style Conservatory allows the optimum use of space with a rigid roof system which ensures symmetry of design.
Edwardian Gable Conservatories
A flat-featured gable-end running from a ridged roof provides a classic shaped conservatory, giving a real feeling of extra space and presence.
P Shape Conservatories
A P-Shaped Conservatory gets its name from the P-Shaped plan incorporating an apexed roof. This design of Conservatory is also sometimes called a Combination Conservatory due to the fact that multiple styles of Conservatory can be combined – such as Victorian and Lean To styles in the example below.
An existing style can also be adapted into different basic layouts, including T-Shape or B-Shape Conservatories.
Lantern Top Conservatories
Lantern Top Roofs offer an elegant, classic look for larger conservatories, consisting of two tiers with the different levels separated by a row of small windows.
If you can’t decide on any of the styles outlined above then don’t worry as these are just to help with inspiration – our Home Extension Design Consultants will work with you to help you turn your dream Conservatory design into reality!
